Giselle (Mad Scene) - Natalia Bessmertnova. Bolshoi URSS L. Lavrovsky production

Anonymous asked: A, B, J, K, O, T, V

A: Favorite Ballet?: Swan Lake!

B: Favorite Female Dancer? : Tied between Sylvie Guillem and Evgenia Obraztsova

J: Dream Role? : Giselle

K: Favorite Role You’ve Ever Danced? : Snow in The Nutcracker

O: Something scandalous that has happened at your studio? : A deranged ballet mom straight up walked into our class, mid combination, to scream at a classmate because her marking in the back of the classroom was somehow throwing the ballet mom’s daughter off. Bitch was trippin’.

T: Least favorite thing about ballet?: (copied from the previous post) Instances where a dancer is confined to his or her facility; it’s really frustrating to see beautiful dancers get tossed aside because they don’t possess an extremely  specific body type.

Also, deranged ballet parents never fail to creep the hell out of me.

V: Favorite company? : Stuttgart Ballet

Anonymous asked: H I T X :)

Thank you for asking! :D

H: Typical corrections you get: relaxing my neck, jaw and hands and engaging my core are what I’ve been hearing/working on lately :P

I: Strong point(e)s of your dancing?: I’ve been told recently that I’ve developed a better sense of ‘attack’, so I’m happy about that, though I’m definitely still working on it. I’ve also received compliments, that I’m very thankful for, on my facility.

T: Least favorite thing about ballet?: Instances where a dancer is confined to his or her facility; it’s really frustrating to see beautiful dancers get tossed aside because they don’t possess an extremely  specific body type.

X: Do you honestly think you’re a good dancer? I don’t think (and I really hope this doesn’t happen) people point at me and think/say, “OH MY GOD, WHO LET THAT IN THE STUDIO”. But I’m more concerned with what I can do to improve, since surprise surprise, I’m a perfectionist.
